Culling
What I know is an exceedingly tedious and difficult part of the workflow for creatives is quite simple and calculated for an editor - culling out duplicates, light tests, and making sure everyone’s eyes are open in the group photos! You must communicate exactly what your expectations are in terms of how many and what types of images to trim. Price is per image for the entire cull, not the final number. For example, a gallery of 1000 images that needs to be culled down to 500 would be invoiced at 5 cents x 1000.

✨1 day turnaround if also editing
Retouching
FROM $1
Pricing is determined based on the complexity of the job but most jobs are invoiced at $1/minute in Photoshop. I’ve swapped heads, fixed blinks, removed several items from the background (and foreground!). I will remove blemishes and temporary marks but will not do any body modifications such as slimming or shaping someone’s body unnaturally.
✨turnaround times vary by job size and complexity but are done in 2-4 days.

Questions & Answers
WHAT IS YOUR EDITING STYLE?
My editing style is your editing style! It’s my job to match your existing body of work perfectly, not your job to find an editor whose personal style you like. My personal preference for editing has nothing to do with my ability to edit in a wide range of styles and match an existing body of work. Think of me as a reproduction artist, I take 0 creative liberties and work hard to make sure your completed gallery looks just as if you would’ve edited it yourself.
WHAT ARE ANCHOR IMAGES?
These are the images that I will use as “anchors” when editing your entire order. I will reference these images to match everything from how you like your exposure, how much contrast to use, how to edit skin tones, etc.
I will use your portfolio (website or instagram) to get a sense of your preferences but it’s extremely helpful if you edit at least one photo from your order for me to have a starting off point. If you apply any presets to your work, make sure to either send it to me or apply it to at least photo.
For weddings/orders with varying lighting scenarios (indoor, flash, outdoor, direct light, etc.) please edit one photo from each lighting scenario to show me exactly how you want them edited. The more we work together, the more I get to know your style and your edits!
HOW CAN I GIVE EFFICIENT FEEDBACK?
Clear language is so important. While it’s easy to say I don’t like it or something feels off, this doesn’t help me fix the problem.
Your feedback should be based on:
Exposure: The photo is too bright/too dark
Contrast: I would like more/less contrast. I would like a stronger black point
White Balance: This photo is too warm/cold
Skin Tones: The skin tones are too yellow, blue, magenta, green, bright, darkSomething to consider:
Sometimes, the way the photo was made will limit the things I can do on my end. For example, photos not completely in focus, photos with clipping, etc. will never look like they are in focus/properly exposed. What happens after I send my photos?
I will download your catalog, make sure everything is in order, and email you a confirmation email with this order’s due date and a link to your service agreement and invoice. All orders after your first one will be organized in your personal client profile that you’ll have access to 24/7.
